Typos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A CV should never contain typos. Remember, after you write your CV, you will use it in dozens of applications. If you have a typo, it means dozens of recruiters will see it. A CV containing spelling mistakes will also be among the CVs to be eliminated by the recruiter at the first stage. Words should be written correctly, conjunctions should be used correctly, sentences should be formed regularly and with rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After writing the CV, you should read it over and over again and eliminate any mistakes. If you are not good at Turkish spelling rules, you can ask someone you trust to read and correct your resume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inappropriate photo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The use of photographs in the resume is another important issue. It is strictly not recommended to use photos in CVs abroad, especially in the USA and other Western countries. Therefore, you should take care not to use photographs in any way when applying for positions abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, resumes without photos are not well received in Turkey. When applying for postings in Turkey, do not forget to add a photo to your resume. However, this photo must appear official. You should never use the photos you choose from daily life in your resume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irrelevant work experiences<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Everyone has done jobs unrelated to the career or industry they targeted while young and during their university years. These can be great life experiences for you. However, if they are not directly related to the position in the advertisement you are applying for, you do not need to write them. This type of work experience does not make you look more experienced. It can even cause a negative effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Too much personal information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Many HR professionals say candidates include too much personal information in their CVs. Actually, your e-mail address and phone number are enough. Personal information such as your ID number, marital status, criminal record information, blood type documents almost do more harm than good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
